With the introduction of the GST, many, many years ago now, meant all of our goods now carry a flat 10% rate across the board. This is excellent in our opinion, as with the previous tax system all of our goods carried either a 32%, 28.8%, 22% or 19.8% sales tax rate. This in practical terms, means that for every $1100 you buy, the sales tax rate is now just $100 of that amount. The GST is a great thing for many industries and for us it has been very positive.

Shipping and duty charges are the responsibility of the customer. Shipping and insurance fees will be added to our invoices for open account customers. C.O.D. and other shipping fees, when applicable, will be passed on to the purchaser.

Within Australia, our preferred shipping method is normally overnight air freight with AAE - Australian Air Express, for larger and/or heavier items, such as equipment cases, we prefer to use Toll Ipec, both using our account numbers. It is also no problem to also use your account number with your own carrier as well. Your choice.

For overseas shipments, we use DHL using our account or EMS Air Mail through Australia Post. When using our account number you save even more due to our current substantial discount rate that we have negotiated with AAE, which we always pass on to the customer to make the purchase even more attractive for you.

Goods are F.O.B. Adelaide. The purchaser owns merchandise in transit and is at risk of any damage that occurs in shipping. Sea Optics will insure shipments per your request and cost and we recommend that the goods are insured.

For all local orders, credit cards, cheques, money orders or cash payments are accepted. Generally all international orders require full payment prepaid direct deposit into the Sea Optics Australia bank account, please contact us for account information. We accept Cash (Australian dollars), Australia Post Money Orders, Visa, Mastercard, American Express (with 4% surcharge) and Australian personal and bank cheques.

We generally do not exchange, refund or return any item once it has been purchased, this STRICTLY applies to any product that has been ordered specifically for the customer. If we allow for the exchange, refund or return an item, then a 10% re-stocking fee applies, regardless of the value of the item.
Any freight and insurance costs to return the item/s to us are also at your expense. This includes the liability for any lost or damaged freight, so we suggest using a courier or registered mail and have your own insurance.
In the rare case where we do exchange, refund or return an item the following are our requirements:

1. Exchanged/returned/refunded products must be in brand new, MINT condition.
2. Items must be in the original, undamaged manufacturer's packaging with all packaging materials, including instruction booklets, packing inserts, plastic bags, and the blank warranty cards. The manufacturer's labeled packaging must be enclosed within a new shipping carton. Please note that the warranty card must not be filled out.
3. Shipping and handling fees, if applicable are not refundable.
